Good morning Fred,

Just wanted to say hello and see how you are doing! I officially started my job at Smith & Nephew on Monday in the Orthopedics/Trauma Division. Our Connecticut District is based out of Southbury and nationally ranked in the top five for most profitable districts. I was able to secure this through a friend who worked with me at a previous country club when I was younger. My boss is a member there as well...great guy. My position at the moment is entry-level as an OSC Mobile Driver. I am essentially transporting the surgical trays and implants between our reps/accounts in the state. The great thing is my boss already wants me to be face tracked because he doesn't foresee me doing that for very long. He wants me to get my own LLC so I can start working trauma cases for reps who don't want to work on the weekends. All very overwhelming but exciting! I have been in nine orthopedic surgeries in the last few weeks, and it is just truly amazing how much our reps do in the surgery providing the surgeons assistance. I accepted a 40k base salary with full benefits. My boss said that once I get into trauma on weekends I have the opportunity to double/triple my weekly salary, which is nice to know! I truly want to thank you for all of your help over the past few months, and without your assistance...none of this would have ever happened. I am telling friends about your service, so you may be hearing me as a reference in the coming months...anything I can do to help you out! I certainly haven't forgotten about our golf agreement. Anytime you are available, we can definitely work on your golf swing. I would also love to play whenever our schedules coincide. I was a client of Fred's back in March/April of 2010 and I had you and him help me look for jobs in the pharmaceutical/medical device field, and I wanted to let you know that thanks to Fred's brilliant resume writing, I landed a job in pharmaceutical sales with a Johnson & Johnson through a contract sales organization back in August of 2010. In 2009 I used a search engine to find a service or an individual to help shape and focus my CV. I fully expected and was prepared for a trial and error experience until I found the right guidance to help me artfully and effectively express my new, merged media background.
After a career in print and broadcast television, in 2005 I was recruited to a senior management position with an emerging technology platform company. Walking in the door early every morning was an experience that was the equivalent of immersion in a new language and a new culture, and I loved it. I wanted to thank you for your help and guidance with my resume and recent job search. I must admit that I was a little skeptical at first about paying someone to write my resume, however, I found that in this day and age, there's a lot more that goes into a resume than meets the eye. As I discovered, all resumes are scanned electronically prior to even making it into a recruiters hands and if you don't have those keywords in there, you don't get eyes looking at it. I am living proof...I had my resume up on "The Ladders" for 2 years and only had 2 recruiters look at it pro-actively. After you re-wrote it for me, I had 23 recruiters look at it in a 3 month time period! This greatly increased the number of opportunities that I was able to consider and eventually led to the new job that I just accepted. Three resumes - three jobs
I am a true believer as they would say. I first used the services of Resumes Etc. in 1998 after a job search that had been long and fruitless. I had no idea what I was doing wrong and could not get my foot in any door. I had work experience, education and references but something was wrong. Someone gave me the name of Resumes Etc. and Fred Mariani. A new resume and the phone rang, within weeks I accepted a position with a company that I held for nine years.

Nine years later I was back at Resumes Etc. and telling Fred that it was time to move on for financial reasons. The resume got me in the door of a leading handbag and small accessory manufacturer/retailer. I ended up getting an offer for 10% higher than was my bottom line.

Marching forward to 2009 and the toughest job market in twenty-five years, I walked into Fred's office and told him I could not longer stand the commute from Milford to Norwalk and had to get closer. That was late summer 2009 and in December, 2009 I landed the new position in Milford with a step up the ladder and a salary increase.

Each resume has been crafted to highlight my talents and put me in the best possible light. They snapshot who I am as a professional and the skills I bring to the company. They get me in the DOOR. They open the DOOR, if the DOOR is not open, I do not get the chance to sell myself.

Thank you so much for your job search assistance. I am awaiting a final confirmation from Northrop Grumman concerning my job offer in Bethpage, NY. They have already transferred my security clearance from the military to their company. They are in the process of getting the test results from my drug screening and conducting a background check.
